Hi everyone, I'm excited to see how this tat-a-long will turn out. I might even try my hand in the work.
Newbie to shuttle tatting and excited to see if I can do this.

Hi everyone! I'll try to keep up but other projects are still calling me, more than one of each craft on the go at a time is normally too much to keep track of for me.
One question, how many instalments will there be?

9 instalments and I'll space them to make it easy.
@KT either would work. I'm doing mine in a bit of both with variegated for the first few rounds and then plain.

I'm going to rework the pattern to point out decorative vs joining picots. I'll also add a downloadable pattern - these changes will be posted tonight.
Oh- I would love to do this- Always up for a tat along (OK- so I have only done one other one LOL) :) will load up a shuttle.

I've started with a needle but thinking I might do a shuttle version as well and see which turns out best... also twice the fun!
what is the reason for doing CTM? just wondering , like i said i'm new to this. Never done it and it sounds kinda wierd to me.
This will be my first Tat-a-long.. and my first Doily.. or is it a mystery what it will become. I will try to tat a long. Fingers crossed
If you use CTM from the start, you have no ends to bury at the beginning. Also, if you do CTM with 2 shuttles, you will have the ball separate to fill shuttles with when you need. If you work CTM with the ball, you may need to have a second ball to fill shuttles from.
